Christy Underwood

Christy Underwood is a life-long resident of Marion, Illinois. She and her husband Rob, of 30 years, chose to raise their family in Marion. Their family members belong to the Cornerstone Church in Marion where Christy was employed as the Big Kids Coordinator, She currently volunteers as a Group Leader Coach and on the Cornerstone Women’s Planning Board. Before staying home to raise their two boys, she worked for Diederich Insurance in the commercial insurance department. Christy stayed home raising their boys for 16 years. Upon returning to the workforce, she managed the Marion Aquatic Center for ten years and worked as a secretary in Marion Unit 2 grade school. She has served the Marion community as a volunteer being on multiple boards including the Marion Marlins Swim team, the Southern Illinois Swim League, Marion Soccer Association and on the Parents’ board for Marion High school soccer. Christy has been back at the Diederich Insurance Agency for 2 years in the accounting department with my duties primarily focused on accounts payable.
